AHS to Celebrate America 250 with New Publication “1776: The Beginnings of American Exceptionalism Abroad”

As America approaches its semiquincentennial on July 4, 2026, we have a chance to reflect on the ideas that first defined America’s role in the world.

The Alexander Hamilton Society’s forthcoming volume, 1776: The Beginnings of American Exceptionalism Abroad, brings together a rising cohort of thinkers in Washington’s policy community to revisit the foreign policy laid by Hamilton, Washington, Jefferson, and their contemporaries.

From Hamilton’s strategic vision to Washington’s Farewell address and the roots of American exceptionalism, these essays offer lessons for a new generation of leaders. This work will serve as both a touchstone and a resource for a new generation of foreign policy leaders who will shape America’s role in the world for decades to come.
