Announcing the American Statecraft at 250 Essay Competition

As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, the Alexander Hamilton Society is proud to announce the launch of the American Statecraft at 250 Essay Competition — now open exclusively to student members.

America’s 250th birthday is a moment that calls for reflection and celebration. The principles that animated the founders’ vision of American engagement abroad have been tested, adapted, and debated across two and a half centuries of wars, alliances, crises, and triumphs. As the next generation of foreign policy leaders, AHS undergraduate members are uniquely positioned to contribute to that conversation.

The American Statecraft at 250 Essay Competition was created to provide an opportunity for students to research and reflect on the philosophy, history, and future direction of American foreign policy and grand strategy.

AHS remains committed to developing the next generation of principled foreign policy leaders. This essay competition is a continuation of that mission, giving undergraduate members a chance to move beyond the classroom and engage with the ideas that define American statecraft at a genuinely consequential moment in history.
