About AHS Professional Chapters

AHS aims to build a network committed to maintaining strong and principled U.S. leadership in global affairs. Our professional chapters in Washington, DC and New York City are robust communities that convene distinguished professionals with an interest in national security and foreign policy from the worlds of academia, business, finance, journalism, politics, and policymaking. By connecting like-minded peers across spheres and supporting their intellectual and professional pursuits, we seek to build the bench of talented people looking to serve the country over the course of their lives and careers. Their experience and passion are central to the revitalization of strong and principled American leadership in global affairs. Our chapters regularly host senior U.S. policy officials and experts on critical topics to discuss current challenges facing the United States. These and other professional chapter events provide opportunities for professional development, networking, and exposure to foreign and defense policy leaders. Membership dues are tax-deductible donations which help support our critical programming across the country.
