Dr. Gabriel Scheinmann

Dr. Gabriel Scheinmann is the Executive Director of the Alexander Hamilton Society, an independent, non-partisan, not-for-profit, membership organization dedicated to promoting constructive debate on basic principles and contemporary issues in foreign, economic, and national security policy. Before joining AHS, Dr. Scheinmann worked at the Center for Strategic and International Studies as a research analyst and then served as the policy director at the Jewish Policy Center where he co-edited a journal of international affairs. He is a widely published author on U.S. national security and foreign policy, including in the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, and Foreign Affairs. He received his Ph.D and M.A. from Georgetown University and his B.A. from Harvard College.
Molly Tobin

Molly Tobin is the Managing Director of the Alexander Hamilton Society (AHS), having previously served as AHS's Director of Professional Programs. Prior to joining the AHS staff, she worked at the Embassy of Israel as the Director of Special Projects to the Ambassador. Before joining the Office of the Ambassador, she served as the Embassy's Director of National Outreach, where she spearheaded both domestic and international programming. Molly received her B.A. from Wheaton College (MA) and holds a master’s degree from Northeastern University.
Dr. Murray Bessette

Dr. Murray Bessette is the Director of Academic Programs at the Alexander Hamilton Society. Previously, Dr. Bessette served as an associate professor of government specializing in political philosophy and national security at Morehead State University where he also served as co-director of the Bluegrass State Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence, the director of academic programs at the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, and senior vice president of education at Common Sense Society. He was also a Lincoln fellow of the Claremont Institute, an academic fellow of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, and past-president of the Kentucky Political Science Association. He received his Ph.D. and M.A. from Claremont Graduate University.
Elizabeth Collins
Professional Programs Associate

Elizabeth Collins is the Professional Programs Associate at the Alexander Hamilton Society. Previously, she worked at the Embassy of Israel as the Director of Communications where she dealt extensively with Middle Eastern affairs and their connection to the U.S. media landscape. She also completed an internship at the Embassy where she worked in the Public Diplomacy Department. Elizabeth received her B.A. from Liberty University, earning a degree in International Relations with a focus on Strategic Intelligence and a minor in Mandarin Chinese. She also holds an M.A. in Global Affairs with a concentration in International Security Studies from the University of Oklahoma.
Lisa Highet

Lisa Highet is a Communications Associate at the Alexander Hamilton Society. Previously, she worked at the Republican State Leadership Committee on their events team. She also worked for Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) as his Deputy Director of Scheduling and Operations and interned for Representative Patrick McHenry (NC-10) and Representative Elise Stefanik (NY-21). She was also a 2023 Great Leaders Fellow at the Hertog Foundation. Lisa received her B.A. from Wake Forest University where she majored in History and minored in Religious Studies.
Austin Merkel

Austin Merkel is a Professional Programs Assistant at the Alexander Hamilton Society. Austin comes to AHS from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. An alumnus of the Clements Center Security Studies Program and the Texas AHS chapter, Austin’s research focused on national security and disinformation. Austin led the Africa regional team for the first-of-its-kind Global Disinformation Policy Database at UT’s Global Disinformation Lab. Austin proudly holds a B.A. in Political Science and French from Texas Christian University.
Connor Cowman

Connor is a Programs and Editorial Assistant at the Alexander Hamilton Society. Prior to joining AHS, he was a Summer Honors Program Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a Security Studies Fellow at the Hertog Foundation, and an Undergraduate Fellow at the Clements Center for National Security. Previously, Connor worked as a Legislative Intern for State Senator Royce West during the 88th Texas legislative session. Connor also led a team researching foreign interference in American elections at the Global Disinformation Lab at the University of Texas and headed the copyediting department of the Texas Orator, a peer-reviewed on-campus newspaper at the University of Texas at Austin. Connor received his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in History and Government with a minor in Global Management.
Jujhar Singh

Jujhar is a Programs and Editorial Assistant at the Alexander Hamilton Society. Prior to joining AHS, he interned at the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Enterprise Institute, researching Middle East security issues at both institutions. At the University of Texas at Austin, he conducted research on cybersecurity and disinformation topics at the Global Disinformation Lab; served as Vice President of the International Affairs Society; was a fellow at the Clements Center for National Security; and studied the U.S.-UK relationship while abroad in London. He has a passion for learning about counterterrorism, non-proliferation, cyber security, and global politics. Jujhar received his B.A. from UT Austin, where he studied International Relations and Government.
Alex Rosado
Alex Rosado is a Professional Programs Assistant at the Alexander Hamilton Society. Before joining AHS, he interned at Ballotpedia, vetting potential donors for fundraising and growth initiatives, and was a Research Fellow for Horizon Info Consult, a Singapore-based consultancy firm. Alex graduated summa cum laude from Gettysburg College, earning a B.A. in political science. During his collegiate career, he served in various programs at the Hudson Institute, the American Enterprise Institute, and the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress.
Annie McGill
Annie McGill is the Development & Operations Assistant at the Alexander Hamilton Society. In her role, she supports AHS’s fundraising efforts, donor relations, and operational management, helping to advance the organization’s mission of fostering informed American leadership in foreign policy. Previously, Annie interned at the American Enterprise Institute’s Critical Threats Project, where she tracked and analyzed emerging threats to U.S. national security. She earned a B.A. with honors in Politics and International Affairs from Wake Forest University and is an alumna of the university's Alexander Hamilton Society chapter.
