Every year the Hamilton Society sends a delegation of AHS chapter officers to Washington, D.C. to represent their chapters at the Foreign Policy Initiative (FPI) Forum. This year we had 16 representatives from 7 different universities. The chapter officers heard from Congressman Mac Thornberry on the 'Military Readiness Crisis', Senator Ben Cardin on 'Congress, Foreign Policy, and the Trump Administration', Senator Ben Sasse on 'American Exceptionalism and the Retreat of the West', CENTCOM Commander General Joseph Votel on 'Crises and Challenges in the Middle East', and Lt. General H.R. McMaster on 'Strategy, Policy and History'.
Hamilton officers also heard from one of our own faculty advisors, Professor Peter Mansoor from Ohio State University, on a panel discussing 'History and the First Hundred Days'.
The Annual Forum hosted by FPI is held at the Newseum right in the center of DC. To see additional pictures, video and read through transcripts click HERE.
