We had a great time with the chapter officers who were in DC this summer! One of our Summer Series highlights was the staff ride to Gettysburg led by Tom Donnelly from the American Enterprise Institute (AEI). A special thanks to James Cunningham as well from AEI!
Staff rides are one of the best ways to learn about military history and strategy. While accompanied by a scholar the chapter officers orient themselves on the battlefield and discuss the strategic, operational and tactical situations from the perspectives of the military officers who were involved. Despite the rain we all had a great time and are looking forward to the next one!
