The Alexander Hamilton Society (AHS) is seeking full-time and part-time interns to work at the national office in Washington, D.C during the 2018 summer. AHS interns would assist in planning and executing summer programming and national events in addition to preparing for chapter programming in the Fall 2018 semester. AHS interns will help manage the AHS national database, and support AHS’s website, social media outreach and run research projects assigned by the Executive Director. Interns would also have the opportunity to attend policy discussions at leading think-tanks in Washington, interact with our D.C. partners, and work closely with the Executive Director and Program Manager. The internship will provide practical skills, policy exposure, and networking opportunities to students interested in pursuing a career in public policy.
Requirements:
Current student
Understanding of AHS’s mission and principles
Strong interest in foreign affairs and national security
Strong written communication skills
Excellent academic and current events research skills
Professional demeanor and positive attitude
Reliable and able to commit at least 15 hours per week
Graphic design experience is a plus
