The Alexander Hamilton Society (AHS) is seeking to hire a full-time Professional Programs Assistant to support its alumni and professional programming. AHS is a non-partisan, not-for-profit, national organization that seeks to identify, educate, and launch young men and women into foreign policy and national security careers imbued with the Hamiltonian perspective of strong and principled American leadership in global affairs. We have established student-run chapters at over 80 universities as well as professional chapters and programming in NYC and Washington, D.C. Key Responsibilities 

  • Communicate regularly, build relationships, and help manage AHS’s extensive alumni network;

  • Help manage and grow strategies for alumni engagement; 

  • Produce and manage communications to the alumni network;

  • Plan and execute alumni programming in Washington, DC on topics related to U.S. foreign policy and national security matters, including reading groups, networking events, conferences, and seminars;

  • Assist in developing and supporting career advancement resources and opportunities;

  • Assist in preparing materials and provide staffing support for seminars;

  • Oversee and maintain alumni information and data management via CRM software (Hubspot) and website;

Requirements 

  • A bachelor’s degree; 

  • A commitment to AHS’s mission and principles and an interest in U.S. foreign policy and national security;

  • Superior writing, communication, and planning skills with strong attention to detail;

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and a proactive personality;

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while adhering to deadlines;

  • Sensitivity to confidential matters and a high level of professionalism;

  • A comfort level with CRM systems and Google Workspace;
